Cancellation Policy
If, for any reason, you cannot keep a scheduled appointment or will be delayed, please call as soon as possible. Charge of $50 for cancellations less than 24 hrs and $75 fee for no show.
Insurance and Billing
We accept checks, cash, and Zelle, no credit or debit cards.
We accept Primary Medicare, Blue Shield PPO, Cigna PPO, and Tricare/ military. For more information, please call our office.
What To Expect
The Lymphedema Center in Santa Monica is committed to providing individualized care and personal attention to every patient. During the initial consultation, Emily Iker, M.D., Director of the Lymphedema Center, conducts a comprehensive evaluation that includes a detailed medical history, physical examination, and diagnostic ultrasound.
Based on the findings, a personalized treatment plan is developed to address each patient’s specific medical needs. The Center provides comprehensive care for patients with various types of lymphatic disorders.
For many patients, Manual Lymphatic Drainage and compression pump therapy are included in the recommended treatment plan and are provided at our Center.
Patients who consistently follow their recommended treatment plans frequently achieve meaningful limb-volume reduction, softer tissue consistency, decreased discomfort, and improved mobility. Treatment generally begins with weekly visits and is gradually reduced as the patient’s condition improves and effective long-term management is established.
